Wine Tasting 15

Four Sisters
Name: Four Sisters

Country: Australia
Year: 2013

Yankee Spirit's Review: Vibrant passionfruit, gooseberry and lemon citrus flavours shine through on the nose and palate with a fresh, crisp finish. A fantastic match with a fresh shellfish, sushi or smoked salmon.

My Review: I was not a huge fan of this wine. The aromas I recognized consisted of grass and weeds. Personally, I was reminded of dandelion. When I tasted the wine, its pronounced qualities were fresh cut grass and an initial citrus fruit flavor. However, something was off-putting about this wine. As I focused on the flavors more, I recognized somewhat of a fishy taste, like salmon. These flavors were very conflicting on my pallet, and I do not have much of a desire to try this wine again. Perhaps it would taste better paired with seafood, but alone, it was not great.
