| Kysela Review: "...the bouquet on this value wine is generous and topped with blackberry and dark plum aromas. The palate is grabby, with clampy tannins and black-fruit flavors mixed with chocolate and spice. The earthy, lightly herbal finish with rubbery nuances is nice." |
My Review: This wine was probably my favorite from the tasting. The aromas given off were those of dark fruits like raspberries, currant, and plums. I also was able to get some earthy flavors like black pepper and spices. When I tasted the wine I was able to pick up on a combination of flavors like plum and pepper. Pepper was definitely the most prominent flavor that came through. The wine had a relatively long finish and medium mouthfeel. It was slightly tart due to all the spices. I did have this wine paired with food, but it was a nice red wine.
